Ida L. Weber (1879-1932) kept a millinery shop here at 48 W. 22 St. from 1911 to 1913. In 1913 she moved to 66 W. 39 St. in New York's Millinery District and stayed there until going out of business around 1922/23.
She appears in the 1920 US Census as age 40, born New York, parents born Switzerland, milliner, living at 128 W. 13th St. Then in the 1930 Census she is age 51, living at 37-12 85th St., Jackson Heights, Queens. Occupation is given as none.
Ida's parents, Jacob and Regula Weber, were immigrants from Switzerland. They are listed on the passenger list of the SS Bellona arriving in New York 4 Aug. 1865: Jacob Weber, age 32, Regula Weber, age 27, and Ida's older sister, Regula Weber, age 9 months.
