Transit-Mix Concrete, 531 W. 18 St. at 11th Ave. (2002)

Probably this sign dates from 1930-31 when the Transit-Mix Concrete Corp. maintained a garage at this location on the west end of 18th St. For many years Transit-Mix had a cement processing plant on the other end of 18th St. at the East River.

This building was demolished 2004.
